2023 Brisbane Ex-Appie Reunion

The Brisbane Ex-Apprentices reunion is back at the Transcontinental Hotel (Trans) in Brisbane next year. Mike Yarrow has  discussed your concerns (echoed after the last event) regarding  overcrowding and the consequent noise with the venue and they have  extended our "patch" to include both the dining hall and the adjacent  public bar. We have also voiced our concerns about the Trans holding two  events simultaneously (army were in the Craft Bar last time) which caused delays in the serving of drinks and meals.

In  a change to procedures, we will be doing away with raffle ticket sales on the day and your event ticket will include entry into the raffles (so  don't throw away your ticket when you arrive!!!).

The  cost of the event has risen. It has been stable for the last 10 years  but the current effects of inflation, wage rises to keep staff etc, will  impact this years event. We are negotiating with the Trans to see where savings can be made but we would prefer to have a small increase than to  diminish the event outcome.Cost of ticket includes pub lunch and plenty of Bon Homme from old mates. Drinks at your own cost.

The Trans is easily accessible from Roma Street Railway Station. 

This  year I will be sending a text message to the entire Ex-Appie cohort so  expect to see some faces that do not use Facebook (our usual means of  communication). The committee looks forward to seeing you all in February 2023.
